Quarter Cut

Exotic Woods
A range of woods such as Wenge, Zebra, Mahogany and Bamboo are available. These exotics due to environmental concerns are now available as replications which provide the same look and texture without having to be concerned about the consequences of deforestation. Real or man-made veneers are applied over particle board or MDF cores.

Quarter Cut Veneers
This refers to an alternative method that is used when processing wood into veneer. The wood grain is exposed from a different cut angle producing a directionally oriented fine line grain. Oak, Cherry and Maple is readily available; they are excellent alternatives to exotic species and very popular in modern/contemporary cabinetry design.

Stainless steel and aluminum is available on slab and straight framed doors. Used mainly in modern designs they provide a great way to impart  a focal point when used in combination with stained woods or solid colours.
